A man who was wanted by police after a woman was stabbed several times in her back in Woolwich has been arrested.
Peter Morley is being held on suspicion of attempted murder following the attack officers were called to at around 9.30am, in Anglesea Road, yesterday (September 10).
It was when they arrived that a woman, in her 30s, was found to be suffering from multiple stab injuries.
She was later taken to hospital and her condition has been described as non life-threatening by a Met Police spokesman.
Mr Morley, 35, is currently in custody at a south London police station, he added.
