A children's ballet teacher from Dartford who has dedicated eight years of her life to teaching is to be recognised for her outstanding leadership.

Jocasta Robinson, 30, teaches ballet to students from six months to six years old in Babyballet classes across Dartford, Bexley and Bromley

Now, Jocasta has been shortlisted in the What's on for Little Ones 2018 awards in the category for teaching to children under five years old.

After finding out she had been recognised, Jocasta said: “I was so shocked when I found out I had been shortlisted. I feel incredibly overwhelmed to be in the final for such a prestigious competition.

"Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for me, I can’t wait for the final.”

Jocasta herself has been dancing for 27 years and trained at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom.

She joined Babyballet as a teacher in 2010 and now teaches 12 sessions each week to a total of 150 students.
