Six drivers have been ordered to pay nearly £4,000 in total for illegally using a disability parking badge. in Bromley.

In each case the driver used a Blue Badge of a close family member while they were not present.

Councillor Kate Lymer, executive councillor for public protection and enforcement at Bromley Council, said: “Blue Badge misuse is not a victimless crime - it can have a serious impact on genuine users of the scheme.

“By taking advantage of a scheme designed to help those who are in need of more accessible parking spaces, these drivers not only now have a fine to pay, but also have a criminal record.”
