A murder investigation has been launched after a woman in her 60s was found dead at a house in Bickley.
A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene after police stormed into the house on Stoneleigh Road on Friday, August 31 at 1.07am.
Police were called to the house after receiving reports of concern for a man's welfare.
When they arrived, the woman was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
Formal identification and a post-mortem is due to take place.
The 36-year-old man is currently in custody in a south London police station. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing and detectives from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
