A woman has died after being struck by a train at Shortlands railway station.
British Transport Police were called to the station at 1.57pm on Sunday (August 5) where a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and police say she was aged in her 20s.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Anyone affected is urged to call Samaritans on 116 123, a line which is free 24 hours a day.
