A man has been arrested after a stabbing in the early hours of the morning in Sydenham.

Officers found blood at the scene after being called to Sydenham Road on Sunday (August 5) just before 4am.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Enquiries revealed a man in his 30s had been stabbed and was taken by car to a south London hospital.

“Officers attended the hospital and located the victim. His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.”

A 50-year-old man was arrested close to Sydenham Road on suspicion of GBH with intent.

He has been released under investigation.
