A man has been arrested in Northfleet on suspicion of possessing a weapon and dangerous driving in a stolen car after a disturbance at a high street car wash.
Emergency services were pictured outside the Hand Car Wash site on Northfleet High Street on this morning (July 10), amid unconfirmed reports of a stabbing.
Kent Police confirmed that, although there was no stabbing, a man had been found carrying a weapon at the car wash.
A police spokeswoman said: "A man has been arrested after police were called to a car wash in High Street, Northfleet at 11.05am on Tuesday, July 10.
"The 20-year-old from Orpington was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, possessing a weapon and possession with intent to supply cannabis.
"He is currently in police custody."
