A police helicopter was seen hovering low over Dartford yesterday evening
A man missing from the Gravesend area has been safely returned after being found with the help of a police helicopter.
Many Dartford residents reported seeing a helicopter circling low over the town last night (July 8) at around 9pm.
Part of the search seemed to be focused on the East Hill area, with the helicopter circling for some time.
The National Police Air Service Boreham Twitter account later confirmed they had been searching for a missing man in Gravesend, before locating him in Dartford where officers spoke to him.
The man was returned safely home following the incident.
