Five arrests have been made in Lewisham after an early morning raid to disrupt an organised crime network.
Two warrants were executed in Loampit Hill on Tuesday (July 3) to investigate the suspected criminals.
A spokesman said: “The Central Lewisham SNT have been working alongside their partner organisations in planning the execution of these warrants after intelligence had been received that illegal gambling and drugs supply had been taking place at these addresses.”
Two of the arrests were for suspected illegal entry into the UK.
One arrest was for suspected illegal entry into the UK and possession of a Class A drug.
Another arrest was for possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. The final arrest was for possession of suspected counterfeit identification documents.
Lewisham Police officers, who were assisted by Lewisham Special Constabulary, found a large quantity of cash, fake documents and Class A and Class B drugs during their searches.
