The QEII Bridge at the Dartford Crossing has been closed this afternoon due to a police incident.
As of 4pm, the M25 clockwise is at a complete standstill between junction 31 at West Thurrock until junction 1A at Swanscombe.
Reports currently indicate police are responding to concerns for the welfare of a man on the bridge.
No estimate has yet been given as to when the bridge might reopen.
Essex Police said: “We are currently on scene at the Dartford Crossing following concerns for the welfare of a man. We’re advising drivers to expect delays and to avoid the area if you can.”
More information as we get it.
