A Dartford mum who is battling breast cancer has created a comedy calendar to raise money to help beat the disease.
Emma Sheils, 48, who lives near Sheperds Lane, was diagnosed with cancer in October last year.
She told News Shopper: “I have been on chemotherapy since February and can’t work.
“But I decided I wouldn’t be sitting in a corner crying because that won’t solve anything. I’m a bubbly and fun person so I thought I would raise money for breast cancer.”
Emma is striving to raise £3,000 for charity Breast Cancer Cure through her new calendar.
She recently completed her photoshoot where she dressed as celebrities including Harry Hill, Matt Lucas and Phil Mitchell.
“I’m just trying to bring smiles to people’s faces,” she said. “My 15-year-old daughter didn’t even bat an eye lid when I came home from the photoshoot."
Emma had an operation last year to treat her nine and a half centimetre tumour and has two more weeks of chemo before a month of radiotherapy.
“My family and friends have been really supportive. They can’t believe I have found the time for this. They are really proud of me and can’t believe some of the photos in the calendar are even me.”
