STEALING £2 from a boy on a bus could lead to a jail sentence for a serial robber.
Hassan Bhamani, aged 18, admitted forcing the youngster to hand over the cash as the pair travelled through south east London.
A second charge of attempting to rob another boy of cash will lie on file.
The Old Bailey heard Bhamani, of Rangefield Road, Bromley, already has convictions for theft and a reprimand for criminal damage.
He also has a caution for two identical robberies on schoolchildren on buses in Bromley in 2005.
The latest incident took place in Grove Park on February 4 this year.
Bhamani pleaded guilty to one count of robbery yesterday and will be sentenced at the court on September 21.
Judge Timothy Pontius said: "It is in all likelihood that any court dealing with this matter will have a custodial sentence in mind."
