A Beckenham woman training to be a vicar has said she hopes whoever stole her books on Christianity will revaluate their life.

The Amazon package, which included Christianity for Dummies, was snatched from her front door in Clockhouse Road as she was on holiday over the weekend.

“They were meant to come on Thursday,” Nathalie Andrews, 37, told News Shopper. “They didn’t arrive and I had to go on holiday.

“When I returned home I searched the bins, checked the back fence and tracked the package, which said they had been delivered.

“It just disappeared without a trace.”

Nathalie was quick to see the ironic side and joked that she hoped the thief can donate them to their local church if they have trouble selling the books.

Amazon kindly delivered new books for Nathalie after she explained the ironic situation.

The books, which cost a total of £65, were recommended to Nathalie to help her train to become a vicar.

“Love Wins and Anglican Identities were on the reading list but I also chucked Christianity for Dummies in too,” she laughed.

She said the thief was welcome to return the books to her church in St George’s Beckenham.
