Sadiq Khan recently announced the London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) will stretch to the North and South Circular Roads, so we asked you what you thought.

Tens of thousands of older cars and vans will face daily pollution charges of £12.50 in a bid to lower emissions in the city.

The ULEZ will start in central London in April 2019 with the expansion in place from October 2021.

So what does the Shopper crowd think?

Some 93 per cent of the people that voted in our poll on Facebook do not want the ULEZ stretching into SE London.

Ross McCaw said: “How does this actually help combat pollution in any sense?”

Anna Marie said: “People that use cars nowdays in London (especially ones over 6 years old) are ones that need it either for work or for family errands.. Its just more financial pressure for the average person trying to survive.

“Why not tax the buyers of supercars? Over 100 thousand cars over £40k were bought last year in UK Clearly these people arent choosing between having a car or feeding the family like most buyers of older cars are Im not a driver..but again just see it as a tax hitting the average hard working person.”

Stuart Upton said: “Khan needs to step down! He’s ruined London !!!”
