Emergency services have put a cordon in place after part of a house collapsed in Woolwich.

The house, in Brookhill Close, has been pictured on social media with its exposed top floor sinking into the ground.

The Met Police, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service were all called to the scene at around 3.30pm.

A police spokesman said it is not thought anyone has been injured in the collapse.

LAS told News Shopper: “We were called at 3:27pm today to Brookhill Road, SE18, to reports of an incident.

“We sent an ambulance crew, two single responders in cars and an incident response officer to the scene.

“There were no injuries and we didn't take anyone to hospital."

A spokesman from London Fire Brigade said crews were sent out as a precaution after being called at 3.28pm. They left the scene by 3.56pm.

According to LFB, the collapse was of a first-floor building that is under construction.
