Footage has been released of the second stage of demolition of Littlebrook Power Station.

The blast, which was detonated at 11pm on Saturday (June 9), tore down the 'A' section of the site, as part of a project to demolish the entire site.

Before the explosion, demolition company Brown and Mason Ltd sent out a warning to people living in the area of a loud blast and an echo that was expected to last for 10 seconds - due to the noise from the steel cladding on the building.

An exclusion zone was put in place for the demolition, which coincided with planned works to close the QEII Bridge.

The demolition process is expected to finish in 2020, after the first blast was conducted in April.
