A Lewisham drug dealer who had a shed full of guns and ammo has been jailed for ten years.

Kaziem Ofondo, of Halesworth Road, appeared at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday (May 31) after pleading guilty to five charges of possessing a prohibited firearm.

He was also charged with four charges of possessing ammunition and one count of drug dealing.

Police raided the 32-year-old's home on April 28 last year, where behind a bedroom wall they found five kilos of skunk cannabis.

However the weapons were found outside in a locked shed where he had stashed four handguns, a fake gun, dozens of cartridges and a silencer.

When Ofondo was arrested and questioned, he responded to every question with 'no comment'.

He pleaded guilty to all ten offences at Woolwich Crown Court on May 22.

Detective Constable Darren Eyers, said: “Ofondo was caught with an arsenal of lethal weapons that posed a potentially fatal risk to members of the public.

“Trident officers are working around the clock to arrest those involved in gun crime and seize the illegal firearms that only bring violence and misery to the streets of London.

“Anyone caught in possession of a prohibited weapon can expect to be arrested and subjected to a lengthy jail sentence.”
