A beautiful view of the majestic Greenwich Park has been chosen as April’s winner in News Shopper’s camera club.

The winning photographer for last month is Lee Price from Bexley, who wins the £50 prize and will also now have his image used as the new header on our Facebook and Twitter social media pages.

Members of the camera club were asked to share iconic images of the SE London and north Kent area for last month’s competition.

We wanted to see pictures showing impressive symbols of the area – those local landmarks, well-known scenic views and other things that represent the area in a positive way, making people feel happy and proud of where they live when they see them.

As you can see from the gallery of images above, our photographers did not disappoint.

Greenwich Park was a hugely popular choice for entries but many other of our finest sights were captured too, covering all the boroughs across News Shopper’s patch.

News Shopper:

The News Shopper Camera Club is a group on Facebook for people looking to get their photos published online and in print.

Now with more than 560 members, the club invites people to share their best photos from around the area, as well as talk to fellow photographers, join in projects and enter our competitions.

If you’re an enthusiastic amateur snapper, you can request to join the group.

Once accepted, you’ll be able to add your pictures to the group, join in the conversation and contests and also possibly have some of your photos used here in the newspaper or on our website.

Our May contest is on the theme of weather, and some amazing photos have already been shared.
