Two men in balaclavas pelted a woman with eggs as she made her way home from work late at night.
The reported assault happened on Monday (April 9) just before 10.30pm on Oakfield Road in Penge as the victim left Anerley railway station.
Police say a car pulled up beside the woman before two men threw a handful of eggs at her.
The victim was walking towards her car when she was assaulted.
A police spokeswoman added: "The eggs hit the victim, but she was not injured. No arrests have been made.
"Anyone with information can call police quoting reference number 8018/09APR or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
