Neil Harris says his side could have scored seven times in the final ten minutes as Millwall missed a host of chances to earn their seventh straight away league victory.

Jake Cooper had given the Lions a first-half lead before Martyn Waghorn levelled early in the second-half. Cooper then gifted Waghorn his second before George Saville recused a point for Millwall.

The missed opportunities proved costly as the Lions could have jumped into the top-six with a victory.

Harris said: “I’m quite frustrated, I’ve got to be honest. Ipswich made the game what it was, a counter-attacking game. It was very open, they left players up the pitch at every opportunity.

“Sometimes when the game is going to be like that and about who scores the most you’ve got to make sure you score more than the opposition.

“It’s hard to criticise my players because of the run we’re on and the form that we’re in. But if I want to set standards at this football club I can tell them and did tell them afterwards that wasn’t good enough.

Lee Gregory, Jed Wallace and Aiden O’Brien were the guilty parties, all squandering clear-cut chances to give Millwall their fifth consecutive Championship victory.

Gregory missed the best of those, failing to convert after a neat one-two with Wallace before, O’Brien struck a post from the rebound.

Ipswich goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski then denied Mahlon Romeo before more good work from the Pole kept out Wallace after a fine solo run.

Harris continued: “We should have scored seven in the last 10 minutes and not to get one was criminal.”

“We should have won that game. Today we missed countless opportunities. Their goalkeeper was excellent, he’s one of the best in the division.”
