There are long queues on the M20 for the second day running as a number of crashes has forced the road to close.
Traffic was being held near Junction 3 and Junction 4 because of an overturned vehicle.
This stretch of the road has reopened but there are still severe delays westbound between J2 A20 / A227 - Wrotham Brands Hatch Circuit- and M25 J3 / A20 the Swanley Interchange.
Further along the carriageway, the London bound stretch at junction 5 and 6 has been closed following accidents.
Kent County Council Highways said: "M20 is currently closed due to an RTC between J6 and J5 following a number of road traffic collisions. The M20 has re-opened between J8 and J6. Traffic is able to use the distributor lane between J6."
Kent Police said: "There is a 30mph speed restriction in place on both carriageways of the M20. Junctions 8 to 3 London-bound are closed."
The accident reportedly involved eight vehicles - including two lorries.
Drivers are being warned to travel with extreme caution and there is a 30mph limit in place.
UPDATE: The road has now reopened.
