Greenwich Peninsula continues to get new developments and new towers as Travelodge put in plans for a 300-bedroom hotel.

The 14-storey hotel will be at 1 Boord Street, across the road from the Studio 338 nightclub and the steel-lattice frame of the old gas holder.

O’Keefe Construction Ltd buildings are currently at the proposed site, which would be demolished to make way for the hotel.

The plans were submitted to Greenwich Council in February, and includes plans for shops at the ground level, two car parking levels and the rest being hotel bedrooms.

The planned hotel would be a 12 minute walk from The O2 and a 7 minute walk from North Greenwich station.

Greenwich Peninsula has had a lot of recent development planned for the area, including plans for a 36-storey tower block directly outside The 02 submitted last month, and a £1 billion three-pronged-towers ‘Plug’ landmark building.
