A man has died after he was pulled from Danson Lake today "trying to rescue a dog".
Police, the air ambulance and the fire brigade were all called to Danson Park at about 4pm after it was reported a man fell through ice.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, reportedly jumped into the water after his dog.
The Met said he was pulled from the ice and rushed to a south London hospital where he later died.
A spokesman said: "His next of kin are aware.
"Initial witness reports suggest the man was attempting to retrieve a dog before falling.
"Police are not treating the death as suspicious."
