Greenwich Council has warned people in Eltham to watch out for rogue workers claiming to offer cheap roofing and guttering work.
The “rogue traders” post leaflets to homes of people living in the SE9 area claiming they are working along the road for the next few days.
According to the council, the workers offer cheap guttering, roofing and damp proofing services at cheap prices.
However residents have reported that the work is “of poor quality, shoddy, and charged at massively inflated prices”.
The Trading Standards Team at Greenwich Council has warned residents that if they receive one of these leaflets in the post, they should report it to the council immediately.
