One way of selecting a school for your children is by assessing its Ofsted rating.

An independent and impartial office, Ofsted looks to inform parents on how providers – such as schools – are performing, their quality and standards, as well as showing where improvements can be made.

The government body carries out hundreds of inspections across England each week throughout the year and publishes the results online.

A judgment will analyse key areas – effectiveness of leadership and management; quality of teaching, learning and assessment; personal development, behaviour and welfare; outcomes for pupils; and, depending on the provider, 16 to 19 study programmes.

News Shopper has provided a list of all the schools in the borough of Bexley and how they were rated in their latest inspection.
