A 17-year-old goalkeeper from Orpington has been selected to represent England at five-a-side.
James Black, formally a Millwall and Charlton Athletic youth player, is in the England Under 19 squad of 12 to take on Holland in March.
James discovered Futsal 18 months and now plays for Chelsea FC in the National League while studying for a BTEC level 3 in Sport.
Futsal - often played indoors on a hard court between five players a side with unlimited substitutions - has been a game changer for James having not to be concerned with his height as a barrier to success. He is also passionate about football refereeing and affiliated to the Kent FA.
He is a member of the Kent Refereeing Academy being a regular member of the referring team at Gillingham FC Academy.
Twelve players in total have been selected following a series of training camps.
The match will be held at the Dutch national football centre in Zeist.
