February marks LGBT month and here is what you need to know to celebrate and enjoy in south east London.

Winter Pride UK is an annual event that takes place in London, this year it will take place on February 24th.

It was founded by Rebecca Paisis in 2014 providing a platform to celebrate LGBT culture and diversity and is in partnership with Smirnoff to raise money for LGBT causes.

The main event will happen in at Scala in Kings Cross where there will be clubbing legends teaming up with DJs, dancing and performances to banish the winter blues.

There will be four rooms to choose from with different music and performance, tickets start at £10 and you can get more information here. http://winterpride.co.uk/about-the-event/

But for something more specific to south London one Lewisham bar in particular is going all out this year.

Fox and Firkin in Lewisham is hosting ‘The Electric Watermelon’ which will be a camp fest of Electrifying disco, pop and dancing frolics.

There will be a DJ and lots of cabaret acts to get the crowd going so you would be pretty silly to miss it.

Tickets are £5 and the live shows start at 10pm, but get down there earlier to listen to some great music.
