A crash involving two lorries is causing severe delays on the M25 near the Dartford Crossing.

Traffic England is categorising the incident on the clockwise carriageway at J1B for Dartford as 'severe' and estimating delays of up to a hour and half against normal traffic.

Currently traffic is queuing back over the QE2 Bridge into Essex past junction 29 with two of four lanes closed.

Traffic England is predicting the road won't be clear until 8.30am.

A spokeswoman from Kent Police said: "Kent Police is attending a report of a collision near Dartford.

"Emergency services are attending the scene on the clockwise A282 near to J1B.

"Officers were called at 7am on Monday 5 February 2018 to a report of a collision involving two lorries."

2 lanes (of 4) are closed on the #M25 clockwise within J1B due to a collision involving 2 HGVs. There are delays of half an hour on approach at Dartford Crossing.

UPDATE: The two lorries have now been moved off the M25 and traffic should begin to get back to normal.
