A 23-year-old man has been jailed for nine and a half years after a knife assault in Dartford where he stabbed one man up to 15 times.

Razak Osomo, of Willow Road, was masked when he approached two men with a large blade as they stood in Heath Lane beside a car in September, 2017.

Police say he attempted to stab one man in the stomach but missed, before he went after the second man who climbed into the car and attempted to shut the door.

Osomo pulled the door open and stabbed the man 15 to 20 times resulting in the victim enduring arm injuries.

He was arrested near the scene and was caught with a nine-inch hunting knife, a six-inch lock knife and a balaclava.

On Friday (January 26) he was jailed for nine years and six months at Woolwich Crown Court as he pleaded guilty to wounding with intent.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Lucy Macland said: "This was a particularly vicious and targeted attack on two men who were known to Osomo.

"Osomo was clearly intent on inflicting as much damage as possible. He lashed out at both men in a frenzied manner and it’s very fortunate that only minor injuries were suffered.

"He was stopped and arrested shortly after the attack. I’d like to thank the public for their vigilance in reporting the incident immediately and providing a good description that aided us to locate and detain Osomo."
