Comedian Chris Rock performed at The O2 in Greenwich last weekend and implemented a controversial rule.

Some audience members were left angry and annoyed as he banned all mobile devices and smart watches from his shows.

Fans were asked to place their phones into pouches that were then locked away, and anyone found with a phone during the show was kicked out.

The US comedian is currently in the UK with his Total Blackout tour calling these devices a "major intrusion".

Rock said: “Take a night off from being the paparazzo of your own life.”

All audience members were informed of the rule when they purchased their tickets but some still weren’t happy.

Some people were overjoyed with this rule saying it was nice not to see 10,000 flashes of light ruining the moment.

Others did not want to give up their phones saying they were worried about people not being able to contact them.
