Two goals from Aiden O’Brien and one-apiece from Ben Thompson and Fred Onyedinma safely booked Millwall’s place in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup against ten-man Barnsley at The Den.

Here is how News Shopper rated Millwall’s players…

David Martin - 6 – Had one thing to do all afternoon and that was picking the ball out of his net.

Conor McLaughlin - 7 – Strong performance on his return to the starting XI. Linked up well with Wallace.

Shaun Hutchinson - 7 – Handed over the captaincy to Craig, but as ever, led by example in a relatively quiet afternoon.

Jake Cooper - 7 – Apart from a cagy first 20-minutes, he didn’t have much to do.

Tony Craig- 7 – First start since November and he looked very nervous. Made a few loose passes in the early stages. Improved as the game went on and made a crucial tackle in the build-up to Millwall’s equaliser.

Jed Wallace- 8 – Energetic display as always. Linked up well with Onyedinma and added another assist to his collecting as he crossed for O’Brien to slot home the equaliser.

Shaun Williams - 7 – Still coming back from his long-term injury. More minutes and a good display to go with it. Makes it look easy at times.

Ben Thompson - 9 – Really encouraging display. Finished expertly when the chance fell his way. Nice range of passing and looked to be positive whenever he got the chance. Used the ball extremely well. Not afraid to get stuck in and has possibly given Neil Harris something to think about? MAN-OF-THE-MATCH.

Aiden O’Brien - 9 – Two goals and an assist to give him some much-needed confidence. Cool finish to bring Millwall level and did great to find Thompson for his Millwall’s second. His second goal was pure individual quality.

Fred Onyedinma - 8 – Indifferent start to the game, but grew into confidence and his pace caused Barnsley problems on the counter-attack. Had an early chance, but failed to connect properly. Great finish for his first of the season.

Steve Morison - 7 – Worked as hard as ever and created some good openings for Onyedinma. Came close to making in three in three, but his left-footed effort went just wide.

Subs:

Lee Gregory - 6

Kris Twardek – 6
