A suspected burglar was scared off after they woke up a screaming child in Greenhithe.
The child, a little girl, was sleeping at her home in Marston Court when she was woken up by a man who reportedly entered her bedroom at about 6.15am on Tuesday, January 2.
The young girl started to scream and the startled suspect reportedly then fled from the house.
Police said the child's father then woke up and found the front door open and house and car keys missing.
Kent Police is appealing for witnesses about what happened.
The suspect is described as being dressed in all black with black gloves.
