The Elizabeth line has been added to the tube map as the one year countdown to its completion begins.
The new line will carry passengers from Paddington to Abbey Wood and Heathrow and Liverpool Street, will be open in December next year.
Ten new stations will be open by the time the landmark line opens, taking passengers from Canary Wharf to Paddington in 17 minutes.
Abbey Wood station was reopened at the end of October - not without problems such as Oyster readers failing to charge commuters.
Bexley Council leader, Teresa O'Neill OBE, said Crossrail was good news for Bexley.
Cllr O'Neill said: "The opening of the new station at Abbey Wood in October was a great step forward towards achieving the vision for Abbey Wood and South Thamesmead. The arrival of the new Elizabeth line in just twelve months’ time is really good news for all of Bexley’s residents and businesses, especially the people who will benefit from the long term regeneration of this area.”
Abbey Wood is an area earmarked for major regeneration by the council, who recently gave the green light for a new town centre and up to 8,000 homes in Slade Green, which may have a Crossrail station build as well.
TfL estimate the line will carry 200 million passengers a year, and boost the economy by £42 billion.
Once open, the line will have trains running every five minutes.
Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, said: "The Elizabeth line will transform travel across London and the South East, with new state-of-the-art trains transporting millions of people quickly across London, providing a huge boost to the economy."
The line will hit 41 stations across a 60 mile stretch running through the city.
London's transport commissioner Mike Brown said the £14.8bn project will mean "customers will soon benefit from the most significant increase in central London's public transport capacity for decades".
The full route will then open with direct trains from Abbey Wood to Paddington, Heathrow or Reading.
Here's how long selected journeys will take:
Abbey Wood to Paddington: 28 minutes
Abbey Wood to Farringdon: 20 minutes
Abbey Wood to Heathrow Central: 51 minutes
Abbey Wood to Woolwich: 3 minutes
Abbey Wood to Canary Wharf: 11 minutes
