If you have your Christmas do at work this week, and will be getting a later train home, then your plans might need to change.

An amended timetable has been announced by Southeastern, affecting trains from Charing Cross and Cannon Street.

Network Rail is carry out engineering work between Charlton and Slade Green closing some lines until Friday, December 8.

The following trains will be amended, which might impact your plans if you're coming back from the city post festivities:

The 00:09 London Charing Cross to Gravesend is diverted between Lewisham and Dartford via Bexleyheath. A connecting bus service will run between Lewisham and Gravesend calling at all station via Abbey Wood.

The 00:27 London Cannon Street to Dartford will run fast and terminate at Lewisham. A replacement bus will operate between Lewisham and Dartford calling all stations via Deptford.

The 00:39 London Charing Cross to Gillingham is diverted between Lewisham and Dartford via Bexleyheath. A connecting bus service will run between Lewisham and Gravesend calling at all station via Abbey Wood.

This comes as it was announced rail prices will have the biggest increase in five years in the new year.
