Two teenagers have been arrested following an alleged homophobic attack on a tube train bound for North Greenwich.

The arrests follow an appeal on News Shopper yesterday in which British Transport Police released images of two people they wished to speak to in connection with the attack - on a group who were wearing fancy dress costumes.

Police said one of the victims, aged 19, was grabbed in a headlock and forced to apologise "for being gay".

Today (December 5) two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of assault and are being held in custody.

The alleged incident happened at 11.10pm on October 21 on the Jubilee line train.
