Rail passengers have been hit by delays and cancellations after a train hit an "object" at Orpington Station.
In the early hours of this morning (November 20) shortly before 6am, Southeastern reported that a train struck an object at Orpington.
Hello Tim. The train is believed to have struck something as it travelled into Orpington, which is currently being investigated, which is why I'm afraid there wasn't much notice. ^SA

This has resulted in damage to the train and three of the eight platforms in Orpington being shut.
Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised and the disruption is expected to continue until 12pm.
