A pensioner is fighting for their life in hospital after being the victim of a hit and run in South Norwood.
Police were called to a crash yesterday (November 12) around 6pm to the junction of Park Road and Whitehorse Lane, next to Selhurt Park stadium.
Officers found a 77-year-old man who had been hit by a car while the driver had not stopped at the scene.
The pensioner was taken to a central London hospital where his condition has been described as "critical".
There have been no arrests at this time. Enquiries are underway to trace the driver and the vehicle involved.
