A "mass brawl" between a large group of youths broke out in Bexleyheath Town Centre yesterday.
Police responded to a "number of calls" after witnesses reported seeing big groups of teenagers circling each other.
An eye-witness said: "I was shopping up there at the time it was very frightening."
Witnesses said teens were running at each other and screaming in the area between the clock tower and the Furze Wren Pub, on Broadway Square.
One witness said tables and chairs were being ripped up and thrown from the pub.
Another tweeted News Shopper to ask if reporters had heard about the "mass brawl."
Police said they attended but no arrests were made.
A spokesman for the Met said: "Police were called at 17:42pm on Thursday, November 9 to reports of a disturbance in Bexleyheath Broadway.
"Several callers reported a large group of youths causing a disturbance in the area.
"Officers attended but no offences were disclosed and no arrests were made."
