House-hunters have a chance to buy a house near the Royal Arsenal riverfront for just £2.

The two-bedroom detached house, two minutes from the River Thames, in Woolwich, will be completely refurbished before it is handed over, and boasts a patio garden.

And all you have to do is buy a raffle ticket!

The seller, who only wished to be known as Miss Page, said she had grown tired of dealing with estate agents when selling the home valued at around £285,000.

She said: “I went through a year of trying to sell the property and I never got anywhere.

“I went through six months with one company but just before contracts were about to be accepted by a buyer, they dropped the price by about £15,000.

“The second one, just days before signing the contract, dropped the price by £30,000."

You can enter the raffle and read the terms and conditions on the website HyperExit.co.uk.

She is not the only person attempting to raffle their home in Greenwich borough, as earlier this year Renu Qadri raffled her £1.25million home in Blackheath.

A Greenwich Council spokeswoman warned that anyone thinking of selling their home in this way needed to adhere to gambling laws. They said: "All raffles and competitions need to comply with the requirements of the Gambling Act 2005. The Gambling Commission has primary responsibility for investigating these issues and all matters should be referred to them.”
