Ask any Bromley criminal and they will tell you that Bromley police are a pretty tough bunch.
But officers showed they have a soft side as well.
When an elderly man's mobility scooter ran out of battery, members of the public called the police.
Officers, who were on the lookout for serious crime, came to aid the man.
They called in the station van driver who came and picked up the pensioner and his power drained scooter and took them home.
Not just crime. Public alerted us to this chap who'd run out of battery. Our station van driver has kindly run him & his scooter home #520PY pic.twitter.com/o2tWPXZkV2

Bromley MPS tweeted about the rescue last Saturday saying that they weren't just around to stop crime.
