A WOMAN accused of stabbing her 67-year-old husband to death at their home has denied murder.
Elspeth Purton, aged 53, today appeared at the Old Bailey via video-link from Holloway prison for a short hearing.
She is accused of murdering her husband George in the flat they shared in Piedmont Road, Woolwich.
His body was found there on April 6.
Purton spoke only to confirm her name and plead not guilty to murder.
Judge Ann Goddard set a trial date of February 11 next year.
Purton was remanded in custody.
