An Orpington burglar has been jailed after stealing a bag and threatening a shop worker with a knife.
Alan Lamb, of Star Lane, was sentenced at Croydon Crown Court to a total of six and a half years in prison after he was found guilty of aggravated burglary and possessing an offensive weapon.
At around 1pm on December 12 last year Lamb, 34, walked into a shop in Market Meadow, St Mary Cray, and stole a bag belonging to an employee.
The victim – a man in his 20s - chased Lamb, before Lamb pulled a small knife and threatened him. Lamb then fled the scene.
Lamb was identified by CCTV in the area and arrested in March.
He denied the offences throughout, but was found guilty of both offences and jailed on August 3.
