With the weather taking a distinctly un-British turn lately, Londoners will be looking for more excuses to stay outdoors.
One of the best activities for people looking for an evening out would be outdoor cinemas.
A number of outdoor cinemas are going to be set up in venues around south east London so we’ve collected them here.
- The Luna Cinema
This touring cinema will be in multiple locations across south-east London, and indeed the rest of the city all summer. It’s a great place to bring a picnic and your own beer. Locations range from Crystal Palace Park to Greenwich Park, all the ways over to Swanley Park, with movies like Breakfast At Tiffany’s, Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters and many more.

Ever wanted to watch a movie on an inflatable screen? Probably not, because you’ve never realised such a thing existed, but now you do. These Pop Up Screens will be at Manor House Gardens in Lee and Greenwich Peninsula Central Park and cost £12 per ticket, with kids going half price.

Want something a bit classier and highbrow because you have already seen Jurassic Park eight times already? Then grab a picnic and go watch ballet or opera from the Royal Opera House screened on giant outdoor screens at General Gordon Square in Woolwich.

- Central Park Cinema Nights
Dartford Council’s own version of open air cinema is back and it’s still free. Returning to Central Park, the movie lineup includes the multi Oscar award winning film La La Land and old classics like E.T. and The Jungle Book.
