Swanley has been named the best London commuter town by an annual poll.
The town topped an annual poll by credit comparison site TotallyMoney.com which compared 89 commuter towns.
Towns were compared on house prices, cost of commute, commute time and life satisfaction.
Ebbsfleet is also featured in the top ten coming fifth.
Swanley had a life satisfaction rating of 8.15 out of ten, well ahead of Bushey which came second overall in the poll with 7.68.
Speaking of the results, a post on Totally Money’s website said: “As living costs in London continue to rise, many people are opting to move to the suburbs and commute into the capital each day. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily make life cheaper.
“While the average house price in Swanley is £353,854, residents there can commute into London in just 29 minutes, and an average life satisfaction rating of 8.15 out of 10, making it one of the most desirable places for London commuters to live.
“The county of Kent arguably has the best stock of commuter towns, with Swanley, Bushey and Sevenoaks all featuring in the top ten.”
At the other end of the list Leatherhead, Shenfield and Rickmansworth were deemed to be the bottom three.
