A Lewisham primary school has had to close today, December 16, due to a burst water main.
Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School in Downham informed parents via its website and Twitter to not send their children to school after the Thames Water pipe burst.

This follows accidental damage on a Thames Water pipe by contracters that resulted in 19 homes flooded in Lewisham on Saturday, December 10.
Ruth McPherson, local resident, said: "Another burst water main in Lewisham. Good Shepherd school closed. Thames water need to get their act together pronto."
Becky Trotman, senior media relations officer for Thames Water, said: “We’re sorry to anyone affected by our burst pipe on Moorside Road. We’re in the process of fixing it and hope to have water supplies in the surrounding area back to normal soon.”
