A STUDENT has been selected to represent Britain on a study tour of Japan.
Chantelle Ejimofo, a student at the mixed sixth form of Langley Park School for Boys, South Eden Park Road, Beckenham, will go on the five-week visit on June 24.
The 17-year-old is the only British representative on the tour, which is being organised by the Japanese Embassy in London.
She is also the first black student to be selected for one of the tours, which are held annually to promote Japan and its culture and involve students from all over the world.
Chantelle studies Japanese and enjoys the country's pop music and manga comics.
Talking about the trip, she said: "I feel ecstatic as this has always been my dream and the fact it is coming true is amazing."
