Businesses in Swanley, Hextable and Crockenhill have been set a coffee date to find out more about the council’s Master Vision plan.

The 20 year infrastructure project was sent out to residents last week including a multi-million pound programme to relocate Swanley train station.

It is hoped that Swanley town centre can be made more attractive to London commuters, which lies 30 minutes away from London Victoria.

The free event will be taking place on October 19 between 8am to 9.30am at the Alexandra Suite in St Mary’s Road, Swanley.

The business-breakfast is intended to set out ideas for leisure facilities, shops, transport, 4,500 new homes and new business spaces.

Cllr Roddy Hogarth, the council’s cabinet member for business, said: “The Swanley and Hextable Master Vision could have considerable implications for local businesses over the next two decades.

“We’re keen to speak with businesses in the area to explain the ideas and to make sure they know how they can have their say.”
