A Lewisham businessman who is set to star in the next series of The Apprentice has branded himself the 'perfect guy'.

Samuel Boateng, who was born and raised in the borough, will go head to head with 17 other contestants and Lord Alan Sugar when the show returns next Thursday.

The 27-year-old works as an area sales manager for a major car brand, generating business for over 700 companies across London.

He described his strongest business skill as being able to develop new and innovate ideas.

Mr Boateng said: “I have excellent public speaking abilities.

“My creativity, my passion, my charm, and my likeability all roll into one, creating one perfect guy.”

The hit BBC show sees unrelenting businessmen and woman pitted against each other in a bid to win Lord Sugar £250k investment.

Returning for its 12th series, the contest previously featured Bianca Miller from Sydenham who battled her way to the final round.

She lost out to Mark Wright and his internet searching venture Climb Online.

Last year’s series was won by Joseph Valente, whose plumbing business idea trumped Vana Koutsomitis’ gaming turned dating app.
