A whole host of famous faces are set to don their football kits in Welling next weekend in the name of charity.

From Blue’s Antony Costa to EastEnders actor Jake Wood – more famously known as Max Branning –the match at Welling Football Club hopes to raise vital cash for Midfield Primary School.

Calum Best is set to fly back from Hollywood to make a guest appearance for Sunday's game, along with The Only Way is Essex star Dan Osborne, boxer Pete McDonagh and Big Brother winner Sam Evans to name a few.

The 18 celebs will go head to head at the 3pm kick off, but doors to the club in Park View Road open from 1pm.

Hannah Roberts, an independent support assistant who came up with the idea, said the day is set to be a good event for the local community.

She told News Shopper: “It is just really nice to get an event like this that is set up for free for the local community to benefit from.”

With the help of Kevin Cooper, from event management company Platinum Celeb, the well known names have given up their time for free to help the Orpington based primary school.

All proceeds raised will go to funding the school’s Edible Eco Garden, and depending on how much is raised, their Celtic Hut which was burnt down earlier this year in a suspected arson attack.

The eco garden is part of the school’s innovative outdoor learning programme, which has seen pupils, staff and parents take on a range of fundraising activities in order to fund it.

Tickets range from £10 for adults and £5 for children, to meet and greet passes for £35 and mascot places for £28.
