Breastfeeding mum 'squirted boobs' at woman in Central Park, Dartford, after she asked her to move

The incident reportedly happened in Central Park earlier this week, and was posted on Facebook forum Dartford Gossip.

The post says: "To the lady [in] Dartford park who thought it was appropriate to breastfeed her baby whist [sic] my child and very easily distracted husband sat nearby.

"I don't think it was necessary for you to react the way you did just because I asked you to go somewhere private, telling me to f*** off and squirting me with your boobs was incredibly uncalled for.

"I hope you are ashamed of yourself!"

It has been met with hundreds of responses, with most defending the breastfeeding mother despite accepting her response was over the top.

Others have placed blame on her 'ogling' husband.

Anna Salmon said: "I would have had a few choice words with you if you had asked me to go elsewhere.

"There is something wrong with people who think seeing someone breastfeeding is inappropriate."

Natasha Chandler-Honnor added: "Breasts were made to feed babies as it is what nature intended and not for your husband to ogle."

The issue of breastfeeding in public - despite the fact mothers are protected by law and cannot be discriminated against by being asked to leave cafes, shops or public transport - apparently remains a contentious one.

Two years ago an outraged mother organised a 'boob and bottle' protest at a Bexleyheath pub after being 'ordered' to cover her breastfeeding baby with a dirty dishcloth.
